U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, who has been serving Florida's 14th district since 2007, shared a series of tweets on February 18 and 19, 2025. The tweets address various issues including expressions of gratitude for service members, concerns over aviation safety, and criticisms of the Trump Administration's policies affecting Florida.

On February 18, Castor expressed her appreciation for service members with a brief message: "Thank you for your service! ".

Later that day, she voiced her alarm over recent developments in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In her tweet, she stated: "The mass #FAA firings and turmoil are alarming. The traveling public deserves to be safe … that’s fundamental. Plus, we need talented air traffic controllers and a new air traffic control tower at #Tampa Airport - one of the oldest in the country!".

On February 19, Castor criticized actions by the Trump Administration that she believes negatively impact communities in Tampa Bay. She tweeted: "The Trump Administration is directly attacking the health, well-being & pocketbooks of communities across the Tampa Bay area. Florida benefits the most from Navigator funding, and this short-sighted decision will cost our state millions of dollars each year to help Floridians…".
