Tampa police investigate deadly shooting; one killed, three injured

The Tampa Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in one fatality and injuries to three others. The event took place near 2600 E 28th Ave shortly before 12:40 p.m. Officers arrived on the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and initially found three victims, with a fourth victim later identified as being involved.

The victims, all males in their late 20s and early 30s, were transported to a hospital. One of them was pronounced dead while the other three sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives believe the shooting was targeted and have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to community safety.

Authorities are currently gathering information by speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
