Downtown Tampa is preparing for a busy weekend as several events are expected to draw over 100,000 attendees. The city's streets will likely experience traffic delays and limited parking availability, with activities commencing as early as 7:30 A.M. each day.

The events will take place at various locations including Amalie Arena, Blake High School, Curtis Hixon Park, Davis Island, the Bayshore sidewalk, 7th Avenue in Ybor City, Raymond James Stadium, The Straz Center, Tampa Convention Center, and the Tampa Theatre.

Among these events, the 2025 Illuminated Knight Parade on 7th Avenue in Ybor City is anticipated to attract the largest crowd. It is scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 8th. In preparation for this event, roadways and adjacent side streets will be closed starting at 2:00 P.M., with numerous police officers present to manage traffic and ensure safety for parade-goers.

The Mobility Department advises using alternative transportation methods such as the free TECO Streetcar, DASH Service, or rentable scooters to navigate to and from destinations. Drivers should remain vigilant for increased pedestrian activity in event areas.
