Tampa Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting incident that took place on November 8, 2024. The department has released video footage of the suspects involved in the event, which happened shortly after 10:30 pm near Laurel Street and Doyle Carlton Drive. A teenage passenger was injured during the altercation.
The investigation has determined that the victim, along with other teenagers, was traveling westbound on Laurel Street when they encountered a dark-colored sedan occupied by three males, possibly also teenagers. A verbal dispute between the occupants of both vehicles escalated, leading to gunfire from the sedan into the victim's car. One bullet struck the victim, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a newer model Toyota Camry, likely dark blue in color. The shooter has been described as a teenager with a "bowl" style haircut.
