U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, who has served Florida's 14th district since 2007, expressed her views on various issues through a series of tweets posted in early December 2024. Castor, known for her focus on health care and environmental issues, addressed topics ranging from state policy decisions to congressional votes.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Castor criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his stance on the expansion of KidCare. She stated: "Despite bipartisan support for KidCare expansion, DeSantis is choosing to deprive children of health services they need to be healthy." She urged the governor to act responsibly and adhere to legal standards so that children can receive necessary care.

Later that day, she commented on a congressional vote regarding an ethics report involving Congressman Matt Gaetz. In her tweet, she explained: "A 'Yes' vote is to hide the Gaetz Ethics report. A 'No' vote is to make the report public. House Republicans blocked its release 206-198."

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Castor outlined her legislative priorities in another tweet: "Lowering kitchen table costs; Fighting for affordable, high-quality health care; Taking care of our planet for future generations; Investing in our infrastructure; Providing for our service members." She expressed pride in representing Tampa Bay and working towards these goals.
