The Tampa Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival is set to return, offering a day filled with cultural experiences in downtown Tampa. Scheduled for March 22, 2025, from noon to 7 p.m., the event will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. This festival stands as the city's largest celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander cultures.
Organized by the Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Council, the festival will showcase traditions and contributions from AAPI communities in Tampa. Countries represented include Korea, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, India, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
“Tampa is home to so many cultures that add depth and character to our community," said Mayor Jane Castor. "The AAPI Festival is a chance to honor those traditions. By experiencing the music, food, and customs shared here, we gain a deeper connection to our neighbors and a greater appreciation for the many influences that make Tampa the incredible city it is today.”
The event will feature live cultural performances including traditional and modern dance, music, and martial arts demonstrations. Attendees can enjoy authentic cuisine from local restaurants and vendors. The festival also offers a marketplace with handmade goods and cultural exhibits alongside interactive workshops and family-friendly activities. Free health screenings will be available as well.
