Tampa Police have apprehended a suspect linked to a peeping incident in a local neighborhood. Kasey Pellage, 37, was identified after a resident reported seeing him looking through her windows, which caused her significant concern. "The swift identification and apprehension of this suspect is a direct result of the diligent work of our officers, the vigilance of our community, and the crucial role of media in disseminating information," stated Chief Lee Bercaw. He also acknowledged the cooperative efforts that contributed to solving the case and reinstating the victim's sense of security.
The investigation began after security footage captured Pellage on the resident's property on March 29th and 30th, peering into the windows. Detectives used this evidence and media assistance to solicit public help in identifying the suspect. An anonymous tip on April 4th pointed detectives toward Pellage, who bore resemblance to the man in the video's footage.
On April 6th, during a police operation at a construction site on Henderson Blvd, Pellage was seen loitering. Though he initially refused to identify himself, he was detained and charged with two counts of Resisting Officer Without Violence. Further investigation confirmed him as the person involved in the March incidents, leading to additional charges of Loitering, Prowling, and Voyeurism.
