The Tampa Parks & Recreation Department is preparing to host its 43rd Annual Senior Day in the Park on Friday, March 14. The event will bring together over 400 local seniors and 45 vendors at Macfarlane Park for a day focused on healthy living.

Since its inception in 1982, Senior Day in the Park has been a staple event for the City of Tampa Parks & Recreation. It offers an opportunity for seniors to engage with their community through various activities aimed at promoting health and wellness. This year's gathering will take place at the David Barksdale Active Adult Center within McFarlane Park, located at 1801 N Lincoln Ave.

The free public event will kick off with a one-mile walk designed for those eager to get some exercise. Participants can also enjoy live entertainment, raffles, and games throughout the day. Additionally, complimentary food and t-shirts will be available while supplies last.

Vendors attending the event will cover diverse topics relevant to seniors, including health, wellness, mobility, financial planning, and insurance options specifically tailored for City of Tampa residents.

For more information about the event or to express interest in attending, senior residents can contact (813) 348-1180.
