U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, serving Florida's 14th district since 2007, has recently taken to social media to express her concerns regarding the influence of billionaires in politics and the handling of personal data by tech magnates. Her tweets reflect a critical stance on certain political decisions and figures.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Castor questioned the Republican Party's actions concerning the opioid crisis and their alleged empowerment of controversial figures. She stated: "When billionaires say jump, Republicans say how high? Republicans claim to want to stop the opioid crisis - but they empower conspiracy theorist RFK Jr. and give Elon Musk the keys to critical health care services?"

The following day, February 7, she highlighted concerns from her constituents about privacy issues involving Elon Musk. She tweeted: "My office is being flooded with calls from my neighbors worried about their personal, private information being in the hands of Elon Musk." In response to these concerns, she mentioned her involvement in introducing legislation aimed at protecting taxpayer data from unauthorized access by private entities.

Later that same day, Rep. Castor shared a brief yet pointed statement referring to Elon Musk as an influential figure in U.S. affairs: "Elon Musk: The Un-Elected President of the United States."
