Tampa police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday night, resulting in injuries to one individual. The event took place on December 31, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m. when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 600-block of N. Ashley Drive.

Preliminary findings indicate that security personnel were in the process of dispersing a crowd from the area when one of the security guards, described as an adult male in his late 30s, was shot. The injured guard was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have stated that more information will be provided as it becomes available.
