City of Tampa Utilities staff will resume reading water meters by the end of the week to provide customers with updated utility bills. Since mid-October, debris has prevented safe access to meters, resulting in estimated bills. Conditions are improving, allowing staff to obtain accurate readings. Customers whose meters can be accessed will receive updated bills reflecting actual water use over the past two months starting mid-November.

The transition back to normal operations is ongoing, but debris from Hurricane Milton still obstructs some meters. Customers with inaccessible meters will receive a second estimated bill. Once readings are possible, a bill covering all usage during the impacted period will be issued. Usage will be balanced across billing periods for fair application of tier rates.

No late fees will be charged during this period of estimated billing. For questions about charges, customers can contact the Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 or submit inquiries online at tampaconnect.com.

City of Tampa Utilities remains committed to providing excellent service as recovery from Hurricane Milton continues. Updates on meter reading operations will be provided as they return to normal.
