An estimated 42,000 people will attend the Tampa Bay Comic Convention at the Tampa Convention Center from Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25.
Drivers should anticipate traffic delays and increased demand in parking garages near the convention center on these days. Tampa Police will be present at crosswalks to assist with traffic flow.
Additional traffic is expected during peak times for set-up and move-out:
- Thursday, August 22, at 2 p.m.
- Sunday, August 25, at 5 p.m.
Residents and visitors are advised to allow for extra commute time.
The event is projected to bring an estimated economic impact of $5,848,846 to the City of Tampa and its surrounding community.
