The National League of Cities (NLC) is holding its annual 2024 City Summit in Tampa this week. The event, which runs from November 13 to November 16, brings together over 4,000 elected officials and municipal staff from across the United States.
This year's summit not only highlights Tampa as a center for municipal innovation but also marks the NLC's 100th anniversary. The City Summit serves as a platform for municipal leaders to discuss innovative solutions to challenges faced by local governments. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in workshops, panels, and networking sessions on topics such as affordable housing, public safety, climate resilience, and workforce development. Additionally, the event will showcase groundbreaking projects from the Tampa Bay region that demonstrate how cities can foster positive change.
Members of the media are invited to attend a special press conference at the start of the summit. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will join NLC leadership to discuss the significance of the City Summit and celebrate Tampa's role as host city.
