The City of Tampa Solid Waste Department is concluding the collection of vegetative storm debris as of August 23, 2024. Residents are requested to place their hurricane vegetative debris curbside as soon as possible. Vegetative debris will be collected on the customer's designated yard waste collection day.
To facilitate a smooth and efficient collection process, residents are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:
Curbside Collection: The Solid Waste team will collect vegetative storm debris curbside. Residents should leave their vegetative storm debris at the curb until it is collected.
Preparation: Place vegetative storm debris curbside in a pile or in a non-city-issued garbage container.
Accepted Materials: Vegetative storm debris includes shrubs, palm fronds, tree limbs, grass, leaves, twigs, and branches.
Unaccepted Materials: Vegetative debris will only be accepted in paper yard waste bags and non-city-issued containers.
In case of large downed tree limbs and to report damage to trees due to Hurricane Debby, residents should notify the City's Forestry Division at 813-274-5744 before August 23, 2024.
"We appreciate the cooperation and patience of our residents as we work to restore our neighborhoods following Hurricane Debby."
