Residents and businesses near the Tampa Convention Center should anticipate brief cannon sounds on Tuesday, August 6. These sounds will emanate from the Front Drive, close to The Sail Plaza, as part of a private event.
The Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla will use theatrical noise props to welcome the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and their guests between 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. The cannon sounds are expected to last no more than 15 seconds.
This event is not open to the public or media. The advisory aims to inform the local community and nearby businesses in downtown Tampa.
