Due to Friday's afternoon storm, sandbag sites in the City of Tampa closed earlier than planned. To provide residents with ample time to collect sandbags, the sites will open an hour earlier on Saturday.

The following three sites will re-open on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 8:00 A.M. and close at 7:00 P.M.:

- Himes Avenue Complex (4501 South Himes Avenue)

- Al Barnes Park (2902 North 32nd Street)

- Al Lopez Park (4810 North Himes Avenue)

Each household can take up to ten sandbags, with new sandbag filling machines available to ease the process.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Residents are advised to visit tampa.gov/hurricane to fill out the form and access other hurricane-related resources, such as evacuation zones and shelter updates.
