The Tampa Police Department is actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect involved in an armed robbery at a local motel.
On July 2, 2024, just after 10:00 pm, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Econolodge motel located in the 4000 block of N Dale Mabry Hwy. The suspect reportedly threatened the clerk with a firearm while demanding money from the cash register. After obtaining the money, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
According to surveillance footage, the suspect appears to be a white male wearing a maroon and white baseball hat, red shirt, and multi-colored shorts.
Tampa Police detectives are diligently working to identify and arrest the suspect. They urge anyone with information regarding this incident or who can help identify the suspect to contact Tampa PD at 813-231-6130 or submit a tip via Tip411 through the TampaPD app.
