The upcoming "Battle of the Bay" military demonstration hosted by the U.S. Special Operations Command at the Tampa Convention Center is set to be an exhilarating event. More than 170 service members from 10 nations will participate in the showcase, defending the City of Tampa from "hostile invaders" using helicopters, boats, drones, ATVs, scuba divers, and more. As described by the organizers, this event is as close to a real-life mission as it gets.

In preparation for the event, a noise advisory has been issued for the downtown Tampa area surrounding the Convention Center. Those with sensitivity to loud noises are advised to take precautions, such as wearing ear protection. Additionally, traffic advisories are in place for May 7 and May 8, affecting the area around the Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to plan for potential delays due to road closures and ongoing construction work.

For those looking to witness the demonstration, higher vantage points like the Harbour Island Bridge offer the best views. Other viewing areas include the Convention Center, Riverwalk, and Bayshore Blvd. Given the anticipated popularity of the event, viewing space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
