Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw has announced the launch of "Noticias de Policia De Tampa," a weekly Spanish segment aimed at enhancing communication with the city's Hispanic residents. The segment will be available on social media and YouTube, providing important updates and information in Spanish to better serve the community.
Chief Bercaw highlighted the importance of keeping the Hispanic population informed, stating, "In order to keep everyone safe, you also have to keep them informed." He emphasized that the launch of "Noticias de Policia de Tampa" is a positive step towards strengthening the relationship with Hispanic residents and ensuring they are aware of community events.
The weekly segments will include b-roll footage and interviews, offering an overview of weekly incidents and other relevant topics. They will be posted every Friday by 5:00 p.m. and will cover stories from the week and the previous weekend.
