Tampa Police Investigating Shooting that injured 11-year-old boy

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that left an 11-year-old boy injured. The incident took place on Sunday, February 11th, at around 10:17pm, at the C. Blythe Andrews Apartments on 2201 E Osborne Avenue. The young boy was shot while standing on his front porch by an unknown suspect.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and received medical treatment for his non-life-threatening injuries. Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw expressed his concern for the young victim and his family, stating, "Our thoughts are with this family as this senseless act has left an innocent child in our community injured." Chief Bercaw further emphasized the department's commitment to identifying the responsible person and ensuring they face justice. He added, "I believe that with the assistance of our community, we can bring this family the justice they deserve."
