The Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is launching the Park Finder Challenge to encourage residents and visitors to explore the natural beauty of Tampa's parks. In honor of Florida Arbor Day, this challenge aims to promote outdoor activities and the appreciation of nature.

The Park Finder Challenge involves 12 carefully selected parks in Tampa, along with the Riverwalk as a bonus. Participants are invited to visit all 12 parks within a year, submit photo proof, and collect a prize. The prizes offered include an annual 2024 patch, park stickers, native seeds, or the option to have a tree planted by the Parks & Rec team.

"This challenge is a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to experience the outdoor spaces and recreational opportunities that Tampa has to offer," says the spokesperson for the Tampa Parks and Recreation Department.

To kickstart this challenge, the Americorps Green Team's Riverwalk Nature Tour will be available for the public next month. "We invite the media to join us on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 5 W. Laurel Street for an introduction to Tampa's Park Finder Challenge," says the spokesperson.
