Tampa is bringing back the holiday cheer with its annual #ShopSmallTampa campaign. For the fourth year in a row, the city will offer a festive guide to help discover and support local shops and services right at your fingertips.

Consumers will be able to view the #ShopSmallTampa online directory starting on November 17 at tampa.gov/ShopSmallTampa. The campaign ends on December 31. Featured small businesses will include a variety of local gems, such as home-based businesses, brick and mortar shops, and unique professional services.

"Every purchase at a small business is an investment in our city's future," said Mayor Jane Castor. "With the #ShopSmallTampa campaign, we're showcasing the diverse and vibrant spirit of Tampa's entrepreneurial community and making it easier than ever for residents and visitors to support local this holiday season."

The #ShopSmallTampa marketing campaign is part of the City’s Bridges to Business initiative launched by Mayor Jane Castor’s administration to help strengthen relationships between the local business community and City government.

Since 2019, #ShopSmallTampa has generating a quarter-million dollars in publicity. The city hopes to top that this year, turning seasonal shopping into support that lasts all year round.

“We’re excited to offer a resource that connects small businesses with consumers during the holidays,” said City of Tampa Director of Community Engagement Janelle McGregor. “This can be a gamechanger for companies that don’t have the money or resources to run a marketing campaign.”

Small business owners who are interested in having their retail shop, restaurant or professional firm highlighted in the directory can register at tampa.gov/ShopSmallTampa. The deadline to register is November 16.

Participation in #ShopSmallTampa is voluntary and does not indicate an endorsement by the City of Tampa.
