From March 16, 2023 post.

Today five years ago United States Air Force Maj. Andreas O'Keeffe died while serving his country on March 15, 2018 in Iraq.

Major O’Keeffe was originally from Tampa and represented and still represents the best of our country. He was a graduate of University of South Florida and Georgetown Law School  and used his skills for his country in uniform.  He would go on to serve both in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He was heroic and a protector: in Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Major O’Keefe’s unit rescued about 2,000 victims of this storm.

On this day, Major O’Keefe was one of seven who died in a crash, including: Captain Mark Weber, Captain Christopher Zanetis, Master Sgt. Christopher Raguso, Staff Sgt. Dashan Briggs, Master Sgt. William Posch and Staff Sgt. Chris Ennis.

We remember Major O’Keeffe and honor him and his family.
