It's January, in Florida. That means one thing: It's Move over Month.

When safely able to do so, #Florida drivers are required to move over a lane for stopped law enforcement, emergency, sanitation, and utility service vehicles, tow trucks or wreckers, and maintenance or construction vehicles with displayed warning lights.

If you can't move over or are traveling on a two-lane road:

Slow down to a speed that is 20 mph less than the posted speed limit Slow down to 5 mph when the posted speed limit is 20 mph or less

Between January 4, 2015, and November 26, 2022, there have been more than 1,500 crashes where a driver was cited for failing to move over, resulting in 117 incapacitating injuries and seven fatalities.

Remember the law.
