Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a gas line rupture located in the corner of Swann and Rome Aves. in Hyde Park at approximately 12:49pm on 6/14/2022. Engine 3 was first on scene, and started evacuation of the neighboring business. Our Hazardous Incidents Team was called out to investigate. The rupture was mitigated with the help of TECO People’s Gas.
The cause of the rupture was due to construction occurring in the area.
