U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, serving Florida's 14th district, has recently shared her thoughts and commitments on social media. Her posts reflect on historical figures, healthcare developments in Florida, and community resilience in the face of natural disasters.

On January 20, 2025, Rep. Castor invoked the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., urging people to find strength in his words during challenging times. She quoted King, stating "The ultimate measure of a person 'is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.'"

On January 21, 2025, she celebrated the enrollment of 4.7 million Floridians in affordable health coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In her commitment to maintaining access to healthcare, she declared "I promise to protect access to critical health care coverage and cost-saving benefits for all Americans."

Later that day, Rep. Castor acknowledged two individuals from Port Tampa for their exemplary support during Hurricanes Helene and Milton. She praised Stephanie Poynor and Jamie Adair for their dedication to helping their neighbors despite facing personal challenges themselves. Castor expressed gratitude by saying "Their selflessness at a time when they faced their own challenges is admirable."
