The Tampa Police Department is actively searching for Jahmir Moore, a 15-year-old inmate who escaped from the Hillsborough Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Moore was detained on December 4th in relation to the death of Jevario Buie, aged 14.

Surveillance footage captured Moore at the detention center at approximately 10:30 a.m. He was later seen on video fleeing westward from the facility around 10:45 a.m., according to nearby business security cameras.

Moore is described as a black male with dreadlocks and a scar on his forehead, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. At the time of his escape, he was wearing a dark green t-shirt over a blue issued shirt, blue slacks, and white shoes.

Authorities have advised community members to contact emergency services immediately if they see Moore but warned against approaching him due to his potentially dangerous nature.

The police department has assured that updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

For further details or inquiries, residents can contact the department's office in Tampa.
