TAMPA, Fla. - On June 23, 2024, at approximately 4:40 am, Tampa Police received a 911 call regarding a shooting at 11606 McKinley Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles that had been shot at in the parking lot. A total of four people were injured in the incident. One person was pronounced deceased, and three other victims are being treated at the hospital. Their condition is listed as stable.
The victim is believed to be Charles Jones (DOB: June 21, 1998). Positive identification is pending confirmation from the Medical Examiner's Office.
Police are investigating what led up to the shooting and working to identify those involved. This remains an active investigation, and additional information will be released when available.
