The City of Tampa has announced a revision in the trash collection schedule in observance of the upcoming Spring Holiday on Friday, March 29, 2024. According to the official statement, residential customers who usually receive service on Friday will not have garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection on that day, with no make-up day scheduled. Trash collection for these customers will resume on the next scheduled service day, Monday, April 1, 2024.
For commercial customers, collection service will run one day behind until Saturday, April 5, 2024. Regular collection service schedules for commercial customers will resume on Monday, April 1, 2024.
The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will also be closed on the Spring Holiday and will reopen with regular hours on Saturday, March 30, 2024, operating from 8 am to noon.
To provide personalized schedules, the City of Tampa encourages residents to download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For any questions or concerns, customers are advised to contact the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 or visit the website at www.tampa.gov/solidwaste. New Tampa residents are directed to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at (813) 272-5680 for their collection schedule.
Residents are reminded to stay updated with any changes and to ensure proper waste management during the Spring Holiday period.
