Tampa Police Arrest Six Individuals Following School Altercation

Tampa Police responded to a physical dispute at Chamberlain High School involving two adults and three students on February 29, 2024. The altercation led to the arrest of six individuals, with charges ranging from child abuse to disrupting school functions.

According to the Tampa Police report, the incident involved 18-year-old Jordan Ford, 19-year-old Stanley Louissaint, and three students. The altercation took place in the school's main hallway but was quickly resolved by the school's security and responding officers.

One of the individuals involved, Jynessa Brown, a 40-year-old HCPS employee, allegedly assisted Ford and Louissaint in gaining entry to the school. Brown, who was off-duty but in full uniform at the time, was later taken into custody and charged with various offenses, including child abuse and trespassing on school grounds.

In a statement following the incident, Tampa Police highlighted the cooperation between school security and law enforcement in swiftly handling the situation. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among those involved in the altercation.

To ensure the safety of students and staff, additional officers were deployed during dismissal on the same day.
