The City of Tampa's Parks & Recreation Department is gearing up to host the 42nd Annual Senior Day in the Park on March 1 at MacFarlane Park, bringing together more than 400 local seniors and 40 vendors for a day dedicated to promoting healthy living.
According to the announcement, the event will feature a variety of activities such as a 1-mile walk, live entertainment, raffles, and games, with Mayor Jane Castor scheduled to attend between 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. Free food, T-shirts, and valuable information from vendors covering health, wellness, mobility, financial planning, and insurance will also be available to attendees.
"Senior Day in the Park has been a City of Tampa Parks & Recreation tradition since 1982. It is an excellent opportunity for seniors to gather and celebrate their community while also having fun and engaging in healthy activities," said an official statement from the department.
