Details: A 2015 Kia SUV was traveling northbound on N Dale Mabry Hwy.
The pedestrian was struck by the Kia as he attempted to cross the intersection of W Cypress St. The pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Next of kin was notified.
The driver remained at the scene, cooperative with the investigation. The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
Northbound lanes on N Dale Mabry Hwy were closed during the investigation. They have now re-opened.
While no charges are currently anticipated, this remains an active investigation. Updates can be provided as they become available.
