Congresswoman Laurel Lee, representing Florida's 15th district in the U.S. Congress, recently commented on key legislative priorities and accomplishments on social media. Throughout these posts, Lee focused on issues related to election integrity, taxation, and the passing of significant electoral legislation.

On April 10, 2025, Lee expressed the view that "American elections should only be decided by American citizens." She also mentioned that "Today, @HouseGOP is fighting to protect the integrity of our elections and ensure your voice is heard."

Later that same day, Lee turned her attention to fiscal policy. She addressed the impending Tax Day, noting it was "less than a week away." She highlighted the Republican effort "to prevent costly tax hikes for families across the nation." Stressing the need for permanence in existing tax policies, Lee added, "We must make the Trump tax cuts permanent to prevent increases for hardworking Americans who cannot afford another tax increase."

In a separate post on April 10, 2025, Lee announced a legislative success with "The SAVE Act has passed the House." She stated that the legislation represents "a step closer to stronger, more accurate elections that all Americans can have confidence in."

Laurel Lee has been serving in Congress since 2023 and replaced former U.S. Congress member Scott Franklin. Lee, born in Cleveland, Ohio, resides in Tampa and holds degrees from the University of Florida.
