Congresswoman Laurel Lee, representing Florida’s 15th district, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing various issues. As a former judge and current U.S. Congress member, Lee offers insights into the challenges facing district courts, animal welfare concerns, and a national celebration.

On December 12, 2024, Congresswoman Lee highlighted the backlog in district courts nationwide due to a shortage of judgeships. She specifically mentioned the Middle District of Florida as being affected by this issue. In her tweet, she stated: "District courts across the nation are facing backlogs with hundreds of thousands of pending cases due to a shortage of judgeships, including in the Middle District of Florida."

Later on the same day, Lee turned her attention to animal welfare. She shared a story about Uno, one of 4,000 beagles rescued from a testing facility. In her tweet posted on December 12, 2024, she called for an end to what she described as "cruel and outdated experiments," thanking White Coat Waste for their efforts in exposing such practices: "Meet Uno, a survivor of lab experiments who was rescued along with 4,000 other beagles from a testing facility."

On December 13, 2024, Congresswoman Lee took to social media again to extend birthday wishes to the U.S. National Guard. Her message was brief but celebratory: "Happy birthday, @USNationalGuard! "
