The Tampa Police Department Memorial Committee has rescheduled the 30th Annual Tampa Police Memorial 5K/1-Mile Run-Walk. Originally set for October 12, the event was postponed due to Hurricane Milton and is now planned for Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8:00 am.

The decision to delay the event was made to ensure participant safety in light of the hurricane's impact. The committee assures that all prior registrations remain valid. New participants can register online until December 11 or in person on the day of the event from 5:00 am to 7:00 am at the Tampa Police Museum.

Registered participants may collect their shirts, bibs, and challenge coins on December 13 at the museum between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm or on race day starting at 5:00 am.

The run honors fallen officers and fosters community spirit with a variety of activities including a fun run/walk, food, music, and door prizes. Proceeds will support various programs associated with the Tampa Police Museum.
