City of Tampa resumes normal operating hours for McKay Bay Scale House

The City of Tampa has announced the resumption of normal operating hours at its McKay Bay Waste Disposal Complex and Scale House, located at 114 South 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33605.

Starting Monday, September 16, 2024, the Scale House facility will operate as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to utilize the services offered by the McKay Bay Waste Disposal Complex during these hours. Residential Solid Waste account holders residing within the City of Tampa limits may dispose of selected accepted items at no additional charge.

To receive personalized schedules, individuals can download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

For any questions or concerns, customers can contact the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 or visit www.tampa.gov/solidwaste. New Tampa residents are advised to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at (813) 272-5680 for their collection schedule.
