Tampa teens interested in community service and city governance are invited to apply for the Class of 2025 Mayor’s Youth Corps. The program, open to students in grades 9 through 11 who live or attend school within Tampa city limits, is now accepting applications for one-year terms. Applications can be found on the City of Tampa Mayor’s Youth Corps webpage and must be submitted by October 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

The Youth Leadership Council will review applications, conduct interviews, and make recommendations for acceptance into the program.

Participants in the Mayor’s Youth Corps will learn about city government, meet with Mayor Jane Castor, engage in community service projects, attend state and national conferences, and manage social media platforms. The program aims to equip students with leadership and employability skills.

"This is a remarkable opportunity for our local high school students to not only learn about city government but to actively participate in transforming Tampa’s tomorrow,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “I encourage all interested students to apply and take advantage of this unique chance to develop leadership skills and make a meaningful impact in the community we call home.”

For more information, contact the Mayor’s Youth Corps Coordinator, Molly Biebel, at 813-459-4002 or via email at molly.biebel@tampa.gov.
