Daniel Hernandez-Casiano, 44, of Orlando, has pleaded guilty to illegal reentry by a deported alien, according to an announcement by United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg. Hernandez-Casiano faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison, with his sentencing hearing scheduled for November 4, 2024.

Court records indicate that Hernandez-Casiano was discovered in the United States on January 9, 2024. Notably, Hernandez-Casiano had previously been removed from the United States to Mexico on three separate occasions.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Marshals Service. Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie McNeff is prosecuting the case.
