TAMPA, FL. (July 6, 2024) - Around 4:19 a.m., Tampa Police responded to a residence on the 1300 block of South Bermuda Blvd in the Palmetto Beach Community for a reported burglary.
An adult male in the residence reported that an individual unlawfully entered the home through a window and he shot the man after a confrontation. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male in his early 40s suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased.
The shooter remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. There is no threat to the public and additional information will be released as the investigation allows.
