On June 1, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Ray Charles Blvd in Tampa, Florida, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female and an adult male with upper body trauma. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation revealed that suspect Robert Craig Webb (born June 15, 1958) had been informed on May 27 about allegations made against him by the victims. Angered by these claims, Webb allegedly parked in the garage of the apartment complex on June 1, gained entry to the residential building's stairs, and waited for the victims in the hallway where they were fatally shot.

Authorities confirmed that Webb and the two victims were known to each other. Shortly after the incident, Webb surrendered himself to officers on scene along with the firearm used.

Webb was subsequently transported to Orient Road Jail and charged with two felony counts of Murder in the First Degree and one felony count of Armed Burglary of Structure with Assault or Battery.
