Downtown Tampa is set to experience a shift in routine driving patterns due to an impending construction project. Starting from Monday, May 13th, 2024, E. Jackson Street - the stretch between Tampa Street and Franklin Street - will be limited to one eastbound lane as crews undertake the task of replacing an aging wastewater pipe.
This closure is projected to last for a period of up to three weeks. Drivers are advised to exercise additional caution when traversing this area or consider avoiding it entirely by opting for alternate routes such as N. Ashley Drive leading to either E. Whiting Street or E. Madison Street. Traffic regulation in the affected area will be managed by Tampa Police Officers.
