The Gasparilla Volleyball Kickoff is set to take place at the Tampa Convention Center from Saturday, February 17 through Monday, February 19. This annual tournament, which has been held at the convention center since 2010, is expected to attract approximately 10,000 athletes and spectators to Downtown Tampa.

The event is not only a thrilling display of athleticism, but it also brings significant economic benefits to the city. With an estimated economic impact of $4.5 million dollars, the Gasparilla Volleyball Kickoff contributes to the growth and prosperity of Tampa.

As the tournament draws near, it is important for residents and visitors to be aware of the potential increase in traffic in Downtown Tampa. Drivers should anticipate additional traffic volume, particularly on S. Franklin St. leading to and from Harbour Island. To ensure a smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian safety, Tampa Police will be stationed at crosswalks to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian crossings.

The peak traffic hours are expected to be around the event start time of 7:45am each day, and the tournaments will continue until approximately 9:15pm. Therefore, it is advised that commuters plan extra time for their travel during these hours.

For those attending the Gasparilla Volleyball Kickoff, the Tampa Convention Center parking garage, located at 141 East Brorein Street, is the recommended parking option. It is conveniently situated across the street from the center's Franklin Street Entrance. Additionally, the Pam Iorio Parking Garage, located at 301 Channelside Drive, is another available parking option just one block away from the center.

To keep participants fueled and refreshed, there will be food and beverage concessions inside the Exhibit Halls. Furthermore, Big Ray's Fish Camp Riverwalk, located on the convention center property at The Sail Plaza, will provide food options. Additionally, food trucks will be stationed outside the convention center throughout the event.
