Spartans Salute Seniors in Off-Distance Meet With Minnesota

The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams competed in their final home meet of the 2022-23 season, hosting the University of Minnesota in a non-scoring meet.

The teams swam "off-distances" that included a 50/150/300 of each stroke and 100/300 IM in addition to the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay.

Tampa, whose women are ranked No. 4 and men No. 6 in the nation in NCAA Division II, met a program that is ranked No. 25 (men) and No. 23 (women) in the Division I ranks.

Prior to the meet, UT honored its nine seniors who competed in their final home meet at the Benson Riseman Aquatics Center. Those included Julia Augustsson, Madi Lauger, Johanna Koether, Alli McFarland, Carlee Sanchez-Hegarty and Alexa Turco from the women's squad. Seniors from the men's team included Santiago Aguilera, Hayden Curley and Melker Olsson.
