Local Criminal Attorney Anthony Rickman up Next on the UT “Ethics Hot Seat”

Anthony Rickman, president of The Rickman Law Firm, will be on the hot seat for The University of Tampa’s Ethics Hot Seat speaker series on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Crescent Club on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center on campus. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees are required to register.

Rickman is a Tampa-based attorney who has handled thousands of complex cases that have garnered media and public attention, including high-profile murder and manslaughter cases. His talk, “Practice and Principle: A Criminal Attorney Speaks on His Legal and Ethical Trials,” will provide insights on ethics in criminal law, his experience, the USF embezzlement case and ethical undertones in white collar and general crimes.

The speaker series is hosted by the Sykes College of Business Center for Ethics co-directors Robert Marley, associate professor of accounting, and Ashley Salaiz, assistant professor of management. The next event in this series will take place in the spring semester.
