Q2: Home prices in Tampa increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Tampa rose by $54,900 while total sales decreased by 22.1 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 2,004 homes sold, with a median sale price of $369,900 - a 17.4 percent increase over the $315,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,573 homes sold in Tampa in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Tampa for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,058, approximately 0.6 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
