The City of Tampa is set to mark the 35th anniversary of Paint Your Heart Out Tampa with a flag-raising ceremony at Old City Hall. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the brick plaza located at the corner of E. Kennedy Blvd and N. Franklin St. This ceremony aims to honor the volunteers and community spirit that have contributed to revitalizing thousands of homes for Tampa's elderly residents.

Paint Your Heart Out Tampa, founded in 1988, is a community initiative that recruits volunteers to paint and refresh homes for low-income senior residents without any cost to them. Over its 35-year history, the program has transformed more than 3,000 homes, enhancing neighborhoods and showcasing the impact of collective service. This year's Painting Day is scheduled for April 26, with the city seeking both homeowners who wish to have their houses painted and volunteers eager to assist.

Those interested in participating or learning more about Paint Your Heart Out Tampa can visit www.pyhot.com for further information.

Media outlets are invited to attend Tuesday's flag-raising ceremony. Attendees are requested to RSVP via email at media@tampagov.net.
