Congresswoman Laurel Lee, who represents Florida's 15th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on her official Twitter account on February 5, 2025. Her tweets addressed an art competition for high school students, the participation of men in women's sports, and a recent executive order signed by President Trump.

On February 5, 2025, Congresswoman Laurel Lee announced the opening of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for high school artists in her district. Later that day, she expressed her views on gender participation in sports. In a tweet posted at 21:37 UTC, Lee stated, "Men do not belong in women's sports. Thank you, @POTUS, for restoring the integrity of women’s sports and for protecting female athletes."

In another post at 22:40 UTC on the same day, Congresswoman Lee celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day by acknowledging President Trump's signing of an executive order aimed at excluding men from participating in women's sports events. She tweeted: "Today, I celebrated #NationalGirlsandWomeninSportsDay with President Trump signing the Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports Executive Order. This will restore fairness and protect the rights of women and girls across the nation—thank you @POTUS for your leadership on this issue."
