Congresswoman Laurel Lee, representing Florida's 15th district since 2023, recently shared her views on several policy issues through a series of tweets. Lee, who succeeded Scott Franklin in the U.S. Congress and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, expressed her stance on border security, prison staff safety, and energy policy.

On January 30, 2025, Congresswoman Lee tweeted about former President Trump's border policies. She stated that these policies were effective during his first term and contributed to safer communities and a secure border. She emphasized that "the American people are ready to return to policies that put the safety of our citizens first." "We know that President Trump’s border policies work because we saw during his first term that our communities were safer and that our border was secure."

On January 31, 2025, she announced the reintroduction of the Prison Staff Safety Enhancement Act via Twitter. This legislation aims to protect corrections officers and hold offenders accountable while providing oversight within the federal prison system to address abuses. She stated: "Today, I reintroduced the Prison Staff Safety Enhancement Act, which takes action to protect corrections officers and hold perpetrators accountable."

Later on January 31, Congresswoman Lee addressed energy policy in another tweet. She advocated for an all-encompassing energy strategy to bolster national security by strengthening domestic energy production and reducing costs for families and businesses. Her statement read: "It is vital to America’s national security that we implement an all-of-the-above energy approach to strengthen domestic energy and bring down costs for families and businesses."
