On October 14, 2024, Tampa Police responded to a report of a body found in the Hillsborough River near Rowlett Park. The discovery was made just before 1:30 pm. The Tampa Police Marine Unit recovered the body of an adult black male from the water.
At this early stage of the investigation, there are no clear signs of foul play. Detectives are working to identify the deceased and notify his next of kin. The Medical Examiner will establish the official cause of death.
