In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, the Tampa Water Department is actively addressing water main breaks caused by the storm. The department assures the public that efforts are underway to make necessary repairs while continuing to deliver clean water across their service area.

Many staff members are currently focused on clearing roads for first responders, which may result in longer response times for water main issues. The department requests patience from the public during this period.

As recovery progresses, resources will be redirected towards repairing the water distribution system, prioritizing larger breaks first. Customers will be informed if there is a need to shut down their service for nearby repairs and are advised to follow any precautionary boil water notices they receive.
